This is what I think we need to do to win the hearts and minds of the electorate. This is a outline and will be filled in with posts as needed.
Congress must be owned by the American people. – I feel and most people feel that their Representatives and Senators aren’t responsive to citizens and are bought and paid for by lobbyists. The easiest way to do this is to limit contributions to be from registered voters only.
Fiscal Restraint If we don’t have enough money through taxes then we can’t afford it.
Taxes The current Tax system is blatantly unfair to all Citizens. we will institute a fair and equitable tax plan. Whether a flat income tax (least preferable), a fair sales tax only (better), or return to the constitutionally mandated “Taxes, Duties, Imposts and Excises.”
Trade Free trade as currently practiced is a joke. We have suffered the foreign subsidized elimination of many industries. We will introduce legislation to remove the US from NAFTA and GATT.
Energy We must be 100% self sufficient! Our national energy needs must NEVER be met by another country. We must produce our own energy through the open market. We will allow anyone who is willing to take the risk to find energy to meet our needs. We will allow oil exploration in any location in the USA. We applaud renewable fuels and coal gasification. If carbon clean energy like solar, wind, geothermal, wave or nuclear, is cheaper then it will be adopted.
Military We believe that soldiers are our heroes and must be paid as such. It is a total embarrassment that some military family’s qualify for food stamps. We will increase combat ready troops thru higher pay and training.
Immigration Immigration is what made our country great. Our parents, grandparents, and other forefathers came here, worked hard for us and became Americans. Sadly, we believe that the system is currently overloaded. First we must secure our borders. Then we sort out who should or shouldn’t be here. We will remove those who don’t and put them at the end of the line as punishment. Anyone who wants to be a citizen will learn English. All government business from documents to voting will be done in English. 470 Americans is not anti-immigration. 470 Americans is 100% anti-Illegal-immigration.
The Law The Constitution means what it says. We will not pass a law that violates the constitution. We will not pass a law giving citizens rights not listed in the constitution. Our members that are in the senate will not confirm a judge that does not adhere to this standard. Our members in congress will bring articles of impeachment against judges that legislate from the bench or overrule a mandate from the people that doesn’t directly violate the constitution.
